Years ago we were told saturated fat and cholesterol were bad for us, but after years of low-fat diets, the incidences of heart disease and diabetes shot up. During this time, we were advised to replace saturated fats like butter with vegetable oils and margarine containing high amounts of largely pro-inflammatory Omega-6 fats.
